An 11-Year Journey is Almost Over

Two dreams I had around Easter 2015 started me on a journey to write a very important book that I feel very strongly that God wanted me to write. But before I could start writing it, I had to start studying the Bible more in depth, especially a certain book of the Bible, study about certain people in that book, and I took Bible study courses for about three years, earning multiple certificates from Christian Leaders Institute. Finally, about two years ago, I was able to successfully begin my writing journey. Prior to that, before the self-study, courses, life experiences that definitely (and ironically) go along with this book, and lots of prayer to discover what the message was really supposed to be about, writing was unsuccessful several times. And as all of you understand, life throws occasional, if not frequent, challenges at us. So, the journey was real, for sure. And along the way, I wrote a few free books and recipes for you all as well just so I would have a finished product from time to time. 😀

From the beginning, I knew I wanted to use the KJV and the WEB versions as my main scripture for two separate books since they are in the public domain. Scripture is used from various versions to explain a few details better. But in essence, I wrote two books using mainly KJV and WEB passages. And last year (2025) was a year of tweaking the writing from 2024. And then...I decided that some people might also want a series, so I divided each of those books into four (total of eight) books as well.

At this point, I have finished the final proofread and edit of part one of each complete book and book one of each version. I'm currently working on part two of each complete book and book two of each version. AND before this year's final editing began, I also decided to make recorded files as well to offer these as audio books!

I also have ideas for a future series of books that I think you will like. I hope to have those finished within two or three years after finishing this book, of which I'm shooting for August 31, 2026 to finish the proofing and audio recording process. Once that future series is finished, I want to write more of this current book, using different and more modern Bible versions. We'll see if that works out.

Each section that I work on in the current book takes two to six hours to complete the recording depending on how long the section is and how many times I have to re-record. Each finished audio is anywhere from about three minutes to ten minutes in length.

Clideo.com, at least, makes the process of stitching my recordings together much easier. Besides that, the site has many other video and audio options that I plan to use if I finally get something going on YouTube. Lots of ideas. I hope I have time to get them all done for you. Because life is hard, and the Bible is our set of instructions. So, I'm trying to fit as many of those into a series for you as possible. So, be on the lookout. And ladies, I may need your help in deciding which complete version of this current book will go on Amazon. I don't think I can list them all, because my commentary and the Table of Contents will be identical. I'll research that - and maybe even contact them - to find out for sure. So, that along with book cover creations may push the publishing to the end of the year. If I find that I'm not allowed to sell more than one of this book or series on Amazon, I have a few more places to sell the book from thankfully. Again, we'll see what Amazon has to say. I fully respect their rules and understand they do what they do to protect us.

Thanks for dropping by today. I hope you have a blessed day.

I just finished designing a couple of Christian T-shirts and listing them on Etsy. You can read more about these and keep up with new arrivals on my Digital Potpourri Blog. If you have a custom request, you can contact us via Etsy messages . We'll be happy to try to produce a t-shirt to your liking as long as there is nothing profane, vulgar, immoral, licensed, trademarked or involving hate related to the design. One of the tees reads Love Obey Trust with bible books, chapters, and verses that coincide with these words. The other states God Lives Here with "Here" inside a heart shaped from mini hearts. So, basically 2 messages. God Lives and He lives in our hearts. 😇 Thanks for dropping by to read my updates today, Patricia

Bounty Paper Towels Product Review

Today, I want to let you in on a little secret . I recently bought a new four-pack of  Bounty paper towels - full sheets. I am not a select-a-size fan at all, for the record. Anyway, the newer package didn't look as thick as the last several packages I had bought over the last several years. I happened to have an older package in storage (and I actually noticed not long ago that the rolls seemed to be smaller in more recent packages, as well, based on the way they fit more loosely in my paper towel holder; not too long ago, they were very snug in my holder until I had used four or five paper towels), so I compared the two when I brought the newer package home. Lo and behold, I was correct. So, I think the decrease in sheets actually started happening gradually over the last year or so. But this time, the reduction was very noticeable. And I hope Bounty won't decrease the size anymore. As you can see in the pictures below, the older package of paper towels shows 58 sheets per r...

Finally a Few Nice Days in a Row

I've been waiting and waiting for spring temps to arrive for more than a couple of days without rain. And this is the week! We finally have some color in the yard and on our deck. So, I want to share what my husband, son, and I have been up to for the last few days. First of all, we had our first cookout on Sunday, April 28 to celebrate our younger son's birthday. That officially kicks off spring. I mixed the first batch of hummingbird nectar a couple of weeks ago, hoping the males would take advantage while the females were tending to their nests. As far as we can tell, 1 male has visited twice. Of course, we can't look out the window all of the time. But we do look out frequently. And we hang them in 2 locations that we can see directly from the kitchen windows. The rose bushes started blooming about a week ago, and I finally had time to take pictures of them. I pulled out the grass and weeds that were growing around them a couple of hours after I took the front-facing ...
