Time is on my Mind

I have been thinking a lot about time lately, because another year is almost gone. Each year seems to go by faster and faster. And although, I feel as if I have spent my time wisely this year helping my family members on their individual health journeys, it has gone by much faster than I like. Most of them are probably glad the year has gone by quickly though, because soon they will be able to move forward with their lives. Sadly, for others, they're nearing the end of their life journey. Whatever the individual outcomes or how fast time seemed to pass, I'm glad I took the time to spend with my family this year. And I do cherish this year and what it has meant to my family and me. My calendars are full and so is my heart.

There will be time later on for Etsy and eBay listings, quilting, cross stitching, other arts and crafts, digital creations, and earning money. My family is much more valuable to me than any of those things, and thankfully, my circumstances make it possible for me to be available to them and their needs.

Finally a Few Nice Days in a Row

I've been waiting and waiting for spring temps to arrive for more than a couple of days without rain. And this is the week! We finally have some color in the yard and on our deck. So, I want to share what my husband, son, and I have been up to for the last few days. First of all, we had our first cookout on Sunday, April 28 to celebrate our younger son's birthday. That officially kicks off spring. I mixed the first batch of hummingbird nectar a couple of weeks ago, hoping the males would take advantage while the females were tending to their nests. As far as we can tell, 1 male has visited twice. Of course, we can't look out the window all of the time. But we do look out frequently. And we hang them in 2 locations that we can see directly from the kitchen windows. The rose bushes started blooming about a week ago, and I finally had time to take pictures of them.
