Passive Income Journey

My original work-from-home journey began when I started creating sewing and craft patterns/tutorials in 2006 and selling them as digital files. I did that for about 8 years, but I stopped when life became more demanding as a homeschool mom in our younger son's middle school years. Selling self-published digital files has escalated tremendously in the last few years as passive income has become highly popularized. So, I am getting back on that path now that both of our sons are grown and have graduated.

But creating and selling digital files is only a small portion of how one can earn passive income. So, before we move on, let's discuss the meaning of passive income. It's very simple really. All it means is that a digital product is created once and it will continue to earn money with very little to no effort as long as it remains online for purchase. With that said, though, some work and marketing efforts are required to create and sell the items. It isn't lazy work by any means.

I am currently working on my own passive income efforts and will have a short YouTube video series, soon, talking about how I do it. And I'll tell you, honestly, right now, I work nearly 8 hours a day on the 2 or 3 days I do work each week on my passive income projects - even with the products I have bought the licenses to in order to resell someone else's digital products. Because I have my own spin that I add if the license allows that. That makes those products more unique than if I simply sold them as is. But that doesn't necessarily mean that I change the licensed product, because that isn't always allowed either. There are ways I can add my spin without ever touching the licensed product. The process is called bundling. : )

My videos will answer the questions how, why, and where to create, sell, and market your products. And I'm not going to tell you that you'll get rich overnight as so many of those videos do. But I do believe this is an incredible market to tap into, and overtime, the revenue will increase, especially as more products are produced and added on an extremely regular basis. As I mentioned earlier, this isn't lazy work. The best part, though, is that you can work at it full time or in your spare time. But in order for the products to earn money, you have to make them sellable, then market them, and list them regularly in various locations. Don't worry; we'll discuss that at a later point in time.

As with any business, you will need special tools, particularly in the digital creation niche. Many are free. Most are affordable if you have some money you can invest into this fun, new adventure. As you earn more money, the more you will be able to invest in yourself and your business.

Passive income involves more outlets than just digital files; although, that will be my main niche that I will discuss more frequently. I think everyone can benefit from this information even if you do this part-time like me. So, stay tuned for more news as I continue to roll out my new business using digital files as my venue.

Blessings,

Patricia

If you have a custom request, you can contact us via Etsy messages . We'll be happy to try to produce a t-shirt to your liking as long as there is nothing profane, vulgar, immoral, licensed, trademarked or involving hate related to the design. One of the tees reads Love Obey Trust with bible books, chapters, and verses that coincide with these words. The other states God Lives Here with "Here" inside a heart shaped from mini hearts. So, basically 2 messages. God Lives and He lives in our hearts. 😇 Thanks for dropping by to read my updates today, Patricia

Finally a Few Nice Days in a Row

I've been waiting and waiting for spring temps to arrive for more than a couple of days without rain. And this is the week! We finally have some color in the yard and on our deck. So, I want to share what my husband, son, and I have been up to for the last few days. First of all, we had our first cookout on Sunday, April 28 to celebrate our younger son's birthday. That officially kicks off spring. I mixed the first batch of hummingbird nectar a couple of weeks ago, hoping the males would take advantage while the females were tending to their nests. As far as we can tell, 1 male has visited twice. Of course, we can't look out the window all of the time. But we do look out frequently. And we hang them in 2 locations that we can see directly from the kitchen windows. The rose bushes started blooming about a week ago, and I finally had time to take pictures of them. I pulled out the grass and weeds that were growing around them a couple of hours after I took the front-facing ...

Bounty Paper Towels Product Review

Today, I want to let you in on a little secret . I recently bought a new four-pack of  Bounty paper towels - full sheets. I am not a select-a-size fan at all, for the record. Anyway, the newer package didn't look as thick as the last several packages I had bought over the last several years. I happened to have an older package in storage (and I actually noticed not long ago that the rolls seemed to be smaller in more recent packages, as well, based on the way they fit more loosely in my paper towel holder; not too long ago, they were very snug in my holder until I had used four or five paper towels), so I compared the two when I brought the newer package home. Lo and behold, I was correct. So, I think the decrease in sheets actually started happening gradually over the last year or so. But this time, the reduction was very noticeable. And I hope Bounty won't decrease the size anymore. As you can see in the pictures below, the older package of paper towels shows 58 sheets per r...
