This morning, as I opened one of the curtains in the house, a beautiful full moon caught my eye just before it dropped behind a grove of trees as it was setting. A clear, dark sky is spectacular to view anyway; I really enjoy gazing at the stars. But this view was utterly breathtaking as the moon had a bright halo around it this morning. So, that made me think of a few Bible verses to share with you this morning. Just a little reminder of how great God is and how beautiful His creations are. I hope you enjoy these.
From Genesis 1:16 - 18 NLT: God made two great lights - the larger one to govern the day, and the smaller one to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set these lights in the sky to light the earth, to govern the day and night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
Psalm 8:3 - 9 NLT: When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers - the moon and the stars you set in place - what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? Yet you made them only a little lower than [Yourself] and crowned them with glory and honor. You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority - the flocks and the herds and all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents. O LORD, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!
Genesis 1:31 NLT: 31: Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.
And this is a soothing song that I love to listen to - a combination of Somewhere Over the Rainbow and What a Wonderful World sung by Israel 'IZ' Kamakawiwo'ole, who passed away some time ago.
Enjoy your God-filled, God-created, God-beautiful, God-kissed day.
Blessings in Christ,
Patricia
