Eternal Trinity

In Revelation 1:8, it is written, “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”

Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, and Greek would have been the language that John and much of his audience would have spoken. However, the use of these two letters easily interprets to others as the first and the last regardless of the language. And although, God is three entities, they are all ONE God, meaning we must obey them all. To deny even one means eternity in hell. So, if God is eternal, so are the other two Divinities who are his equal counterparts.

To back this claim, Genesis 1:26 NLT tells us, "Then God said, 'Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us.'" This was the beginning of earth time, before Jesus left his place in heaven, to be born as a human, to show us how the Word must be interpreted AND lived. And 50 days after Jesus was crucified (Pentecost), he sent his Holy Spirit to his apostles and other disciples so that they could speak in foreign languages of which they were not familiar with. This allowed the witnesses of this event to understand and become believers and spread the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the world. Until this time, the Spirit was limited to priests and a few others who really devoted their lives to please God.

After the Holy Spirit made his presence on the day of Pentecost, Apostle Peter quoted the prophet, Joel (who was born at least 400 years before Jesus), in Acts 2:17-21 where Joel had prophesied this moment. He had said that God would pour his Spirit out on all people - men AND women - to prophesy. He mentions a few of the end-of-time happenings in a couple of paragraphs, and then says that all those who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for being my Father, my Savior, and Wisdom I seek each day. I pray that you will show all of us the way that each of us must go in order to spread your Word effectively and to bring more people to know and accept you as the Omnipresent God who is everywhere, who knows everything, who is, was, and always will be One God as Three Entities. The devil will try to confuse us and divide your Holy Trinity in our heads, but Lord, help us to remember that by calling upon one, we are calling upon all three to help us get through our daily lives. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Blessings to all in the name of Jesus Christ,

Patricia

Love Never Fails

After Saul (Paul) was converted from Judaism, in which he was a trained priest, to Christianity on the road to Damascus, he spent a few years learning how to be a better person for God's new work in Christ. After God prepared him, Paul started preaching the Good News to people in different cities. One of those cities was Corinth in Greece. When Paul needed to correct - or praise - some teachings of the churches that were established in these cities but couldn't get back to them right away, he would write them letters. One of these letters (often called epistles) is called I Corinthians in the Holy Bible.  The message I want to bring to your attention today is what Paul was telling this church about love. He told them in verse 16:14 to, " Do everything with love. " (NLT) The NKJV read as, " Let all that you do be done with love. " What a difference we could make in the world if we could all follow this beautiful advice.  In the same Book of I Corinthians 13:
